U-Pick

April 27

We are at the start of another growing season and all ready things are looking good.  We transplanted a bunch of our cherry tomatoes into the greenhouse today, we received our shipment of baby turkeys yesterday, and last Saturday I picked up 90 young hens just starting to lay.  Yes, we have hit the ground running.  We will also be receiving our first shipment of  broiler chickens in about 2 weeks and I will be picking up our strawberry plants sometime before that as well.  Plans are already underway for a corn maze again this year, and weather permitting ie. no hail storms, we will have saskatoons, strawberries, cherry tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, government inspected frozen chicken, turkey, and lamb, and grass fed eggs.  (The turkeys will not be ready until late summer/ early fall I am guessing.)  We do still have a few frozen chickens if you would like some before upick season starts, and right now we have LOTS of farm eggs.  I am eating all I can, but I just can’t keep up.  :)   So feel free to let us know if you would like something.  You can also follow us on facebook at The Saskaberry Ranch.   If you have any questions or if you would like an update when our season is actually ready to start, you can email us at phil@saskaberryranch.com or give us a call at 403-507-8994.  Hope to see you soon.
